Video
The following are examples of my work in video, including both professional projects as well as student work. I have experience filming using professional quality cameras, lighting, and sound equipment, and I am proficient at editing with Adobe Premiere.
Iowa Writers’ House
The Power of Story
With the release of the third volume of the We the Interwoven book series upset by COVID-19, my team at the Iowa Writers’ House and I wanted to find a way to celebrate the publication with each of the writers, even without in person readings at bookstores and libraries.
And so, following public health guidelines, I worked with each of the writers who were open to it to film readings to be shared online so we could still connect with readers. I produced and edited this series of videos completely independently so we could keep the amount of people involved small to observe COVID-19 precautions.
Below are four of the readings. The complete collection of virtual readings are available to view on the Bicultural Iowa Writers’ Fellowship website.
Traverse by Megan
As a freelance producer, I filmed and edited videos for a series on the YouTube channel Traverse by Megan. These videos include a combination of confessionals, tutorials, and montage footage. In addition to fulfilling roles behind the camera, I collaborated with Megan on scripted sections and overall shoot planning.

Earthwords Staff Applications
As a reminder for the 2020-2021 editorial board applications of the literary magazine Earthwords, I created this short video to be posted on the Instagram and Facebook pages for the magazine.
She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms
As they transitioned to a virtual season, I worked with First Stage Children’s Theater as the digital animation coordinator for the Dungeons & Dragons centered show, She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms. I designed character models and animations in collaboration with the rest of the production team to create a feature-length show. Collaborating with the team throughout the rehearsal and production processes to integrate the animations was an exciting experience of adapting live theater into video.
The play originally premiered on Broadway on Demand, and a gallery of my original designs are available to view here.
